Mr Leigh Tweddle
Leigh gained his Bachelor of Applied Science in Radiography (Distinction) in Melbourne in 1993 and then worked as a Radiographer at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, a large tertiary referral centre, for 7 years. During this time Leigh gained wide experience in a wide range of imaging modalities, completing the last several years as an MRI supervisor. After 18 months working in Oxford as a MRI radiographer Leigh returned to Ballarat, Australia.
The next 7 years were spent training and gaining a wide variety of experience in Ultrasound in a large radiology department gaining a Post Graduate Degree in Medical Ultrasound from the University of South Australia. For several years before moving to Ireland, Leigh's role was departmental tutor sonographer. Leigh’s special interest is fetal anomaly scanning.
Professional Memberships include ; Australian Institute of Radiography, Australian Sonographers Association, Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry, Irish Department of Health and Children, Irish Institute of Radiography.
